Mojo Monday #139

For my card I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday. Here it is:

I really liked this sketch but I struggled with it for a little bit. I just couldn't get my card to look right but finally, I came up with this and I'm happy with how it ended up.

After coloring the little cuppy I added lots of Stickles. I love Stickles!!! My paper is by We R Memory Keepers, Vintage Blue collection. I used both the A side from one sheet and the B side from another.

I added some white ribbon and threw on my green button with a little ribbon and added a green bling in the center of the button and I have a finished card.

Drucilla

Today I'm entering my card into 2 challenges, one at Our Creative Corner which is a sketch challenge, the other at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps which is to use a charm and if you don't have one, make one. :)

I used the super cute Drucilla stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie. Colored her up with some water color pencils added a few Stickles to her hair accessories and the stitching on her skirt. My paper is the B side of some Pink Paisley and some blue Core'dinations paper and the red cardstock is from We R Memory Keepers.

I made a cheater bow out of some ribbon I got during a swap and the charm I made out of the locket stamp that comes with Drucilla. I painted it with gold Smooch paint, poked a hole and attached it to the back of the bow.

37 days until Eclipse

I know that I'm a huge Twihard to be doing a card a day right? Well, I guess if the shoe fits...here's today's card

I used more of the Theresa Collin's Family Matters line called Family Home. This paper has a B side and I've used both sides on this card. I also used some red shimmer paper for the base and for the ooey gooey punch from Martha Stewart that I've used in the center of the card.

I used the Fictionally Inspired sentiment set from Artful Inkables for this card. I threw on some glitter black domes.

38 days until Eclipse

I'm giving you yet another card in my countdown for Eclipse. Today I was feeling a little Team Jacob.

I used papers from a Basic Gray stack that I had stashed. I used the Barns and Noble Twilight stamp set and stamped Jacob in Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used the swirls from the Fictionally Inspired set from Artful Inkable. The sentiment and paw print are also from this set.

I added a little bit of bling and some cording to this as well as pop dotting the image just a bit.

39 days until Eclipse

Yep, here it is, my 2nd countdown card. Only 39 days til Eclipse!

I used the Epic Tales set from Artfuk Inkables for this card. My paper is the B side of the Theresa Collin's Family Matters line called Family Home. I'm really diggin' the look of this paper for Twilight cards. The sentiment is from Fictionally Inspired also by Artful Inkables. The gold paper is shimmer paper from DCWV. I got a whole stack of this stuff and I LOVE IT!

Colored the eyes with some gold Smooch paint and also edged the top not with gold Smooch paint. I added a little clear bling in the eye's as well.

40 days until Eclipse

I so super excited for the release of Eclipse on June 30th! In fact I've gotten so excited I've made a few "countdown" cards as I'm gonna call them. I'll start ya'll off with this one.

My paper is from Theresa Collins from her Family Matters line called Family Home. It's another B side paper, the red and black is the A side, the gray and black is the B side. Love them both! Very Twilightesque.

I stamped the wolf from the Artful Inkables set called Into the Moonlight. Colored him with some water color pencils and inked around the paper with some Black Soot Distress Ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Fictionally Inspired set also from Artful Inkables.

I used some gold Smooch paint on his eyes and the new black "stuff" from the same company that makes glossy accents for the wolf's nose. Also used some of the white "stuff" in the upper corner too.

My little goth girl

While perusing the blogging world yesterday, I came across 2 new blogs that I knew I had to follow and participate in challenges for.  The 1st blog is Tiddly Inks. They have some super cute digital images including the "Whoops" image that I used. The details for their challenge can be found HERE. The store for Tiddly Inks is HERE.

The other blog is is called The Burtonesque Dolls which is all things Tim Burton cartoon movies. What a fun blog! The challange for them can be found HERE.

Essentially I had to make a card using no designer paper (Tiddly Inks Challenge #5) and use skulls and black flowers (Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #3)

Below is my card:

I used 2 shades of Shimmer paper from DCWV. I embossed the lighter purple with the Skeleton Scroll embossing folder from Cuttlebug and lightly inked black around the edges to make it pop a little more. (skulls...Check, no designer paper...Check!)

My flowers started off as blue but I sprayed them with Heidi Swapp Exclusive Glimmer Mist called Black Magic. It's the coolest color, black with hints of gold. Love this stuff.

I added a black pearl brad and stuck it to my card (black flowers...Check!)

My cute little Whoops girl was colored with water color pencils and cut using my Top Note Nestabilities. I also added alittle purple Stickles to the ice cream cone. My "Sweet" stamp is from Skipping Stones Design Cupcake Cutie set.

Rainbow

I sat down at my scrap table last night and was drawing a blank. I had all these fun dotted papers out, most were scraps. When I really took a look, they were rainbow colors, so, in following with Laura's description of me "Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea....she is the rainbow on DT3 - full of warmth and color, and can always make you smile!" I went with the rainbow look on this card. It came together quick and easy and I love how it turned out!!

I matted all the colors on black paper and added a matching bling in the corner of each paper. I threw a black ribbon across the middle and using my new Nestabilities, cut the top note shape and inked it with Milled Lavender Distress Ink. I stamped a phrase from CCS from the Hello Hunny set.

I finished up this card by wiping Versa Mark over the top note and adding some Stampin' Up Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to give it a nice little sparkle.

Again these pictures are taken with the cell phone so please forgive the poor quality. I should be getting my computer back tonight! WOO HOO!!!

 

Oink Oink

I have loved Hambo Stamps since I first came across them, sadly I don't have any except this digi image but I wanted to play along with the sketch so I colored up this little piggy and came up with this card:

I used some scraps from Little Yellow Bicycle and cut some sand dollars to make the sketch work.

The sketch

CPS Sketch 167

Last night I decided I needed to work on a card. It's been a stressful week and I didn't have time to get to the scrap room so I made it a point. It was much needed relaxation. I decided to use the sketch over at CPS.

 For my card I flipped the sketch vertical. (again forgive the awful pictures, my computer still has a cootie and I don't have access to a card reader to get pictures from my camera so these are taken with my cell phone.)

I used an image from The Greeting Farm called Hope & Grace Snuggle and the sentiment is from CCS called Today You Wish. It's one of their single sentiments. The paper is from a card kit that I got during a swap so I'm not sure who the vendor is.

I  used the Martha Stewart loopy corner punch and a single pink bling for the corners.

After coloring little miss Snuggle with water colored pencils I cut her out and used pop dots to pop her up on the card.

CCS Sketch Challange CVSC08

Woo Hoo...Sunday Sketch Day at Creative Clear Stamps. I love Sketch Days! I absolutely LOVE this sketch! I've used it on a few occasions already and will post those later in the week but for now...Here's Laura's fantastic sketch:

And for my card I actually followed the sketch almost to the tee! Can you believe that one?

My paper is from My Minds Eye. It's also a B side paper with the res stripes being the B side. I also used some teal Cuttlebug Shimmer paper and embossed it. I stamped with the Whoop De Do single stamp from Creative Clear Stamps. I stamped it in Vintage Photo Distress Ink and inked the edges with some Tea Dye Distressed Ink. I added a few brown pearls (are they still called pearls if they are brown?) on the edge of the sentiment and matted the whole thing on more of the teal shimmer paper.

Again, this is a scanned imaged which I apologize for. I'm hoping my computer gets fixed soon!!

In The Arms of Jesus

My card for today I used the In The Arms of Jesus set from Creative Clear Stamps.

Paper is October Afternoon from the Farm Fresh collection called Hay Barn. It's another paper with a B side. The cross I paper pieced from the B side of some Bo-Bunny camping paper.

I inked some clouds and the grass after coloring Miss Hunny with my watercolor pencils.

Added my sentiment. One thing I love about the clear acrylic stamps is that they are bendy and you can shape them to fit what you want. In this case, I made them roundish to boarder the circle.

I also stamped the flower flower from the same set and paper pieced the flower, center and leaves and popped them up. Added some faux stitching around what seams like everything here and called it finished.

Think Ink

So I've been drooling over the challenges over at Artful Inkables but just haven't had time to participate. Well, this week I finally did. My Twilight stamps by Artful Inkables were just begging to be inked up anyway. The challenge was to use 2 ribbons, 3 buttons and a circle. (Please excuse the poor photography on this. My computer is still in the shop and I had no way to get pictures from my camera so these are from my cell phone).

Without further adieu, here is my Twilight inspired card using 3 buttons, 2 ribbons and a circle

I used some black Core'dinations paper, cuttlebuged it with the script folder and sanded it to let the gray pop though. My circle of patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Lush collection. It's velvety and so nice to work with. 

 

I stamped my image from the Into The Moonlight set from Artful Inkables and colored it with a few different mediums. I used watercolor pencils, silver Smooch paint, and burgundy Stickles. 

I added my my 3 clear/white buttons and popped them with a red pearl on top of each. My 2 ribbons are the solid red that wraps the card and the black with red filigree print bow.

CCS Sketch Challange CVSC07

Sunday was Sketch Day over at CCS and I couldn't wait to participate. Below is the sketch:

If you follow my blog at all you know that I can't leave a sketch like it is usually. Today is no different, don't get me wrong...Laura did a great job on this sketch BUT when I was making my card, my bottom squares ended up too big so I rotated them and, well the general idea is still there...take a peek:

I used the Chunky Dunk stamp from CCS however, my acrylic stamps shriek in terror when they see me with my Exacto knife...this stamp is supposed to read "You used to skinny dip but now you chunky dunk". However, I had my amazing mother in mind who has lost close to 100lbs. when I made this and therefore, took the Exacto to my stamp.  (Also, my computer got a bug this weekend and I have no way to get my photos off my camera without my card reader that's built into my computer (I'm using my work computer now)so I unfortunately had to scan my card. I hate to do that because it takes away so much from the art.) I used some papers from a Die Cuts With A View stack I had purchased this summer and had never used. It's glittery on the blue parts. It's fun to work with now that I've actually broken into the stack. I inked the edges of the sentiment with some Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks and Whala!  Thanks for stopping by and and get over to Creative Clear Stamps and play along with the sketch!

Sassy Birthday 2

Here we are...Friday again! Great to see you all! Sadly I'm stuck at work all day today! :( But I have tomorrow off so I'm gonna enjoy that. Moving on...my card for today I used the Sassy Birthday 2 set from Creative Clear Stamps. I'm totally in love with this set.

My papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle, it's their Lucky collection. Another B side paper, I did all the matting in the B side of the paper. I used some Bloom Core'dinations paper for the blue strip on the left side. I used a vintage brad from Creative Charms on the blue paper as well but it had a diamond rhinestone that I popped off and added the green to. Also added some green bling at the bottom of the sentiment.

I crumpled and sanded the blue cardstock. I just love this Core'dinations stuff. I added a close up of the sentiment but you still can't tell, but I inked the edges in some Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters then sprayed it with some Black Magic Glimmer Mist which has a hint of gold sparkle in it.
