My new addiction

As I think I've mentioned in a previous post, I've just learned what a Swap is, and I've become addicted to them. Here are my current Swap pieces going out in this weeks mail.

1st is my diabetic strawberry pie recipe for an 8X8 swap. I used some Doodlebug sugar (love this stuff but messy), some glimmer mist and a stamp from Stampin' Up's Wanted set.

The 2nd swap is for turkey leftovers, also an 8X8 swap. All cuts are from Doodlecharms from the cricut. You can't really tell but I've used glossy accents on the cranberries to make them look more like the canned cranberries. The only paper that was not from my scrap stash was the Picnic Table paper by Flair Designs.

Lastly, this is my Alphabet Soup swap. It was a 4X6 swap where you pick a letter and design a card with a soup that starts with that letter. Taco soup is one of my favorites. I used some paper from Hobby Lobby, some card stock and then more Sugar rom Doodlebug.

Busy weekend

1st her is the latest in my card department. I scraplifted parts of this card from the ladies at The Playground, see their blog HERE. The front of the card say "It doesn't matter if your a good witch or a bad witch..." The inside says "It's all about the shoes" The paper is by Moxie, it's called Eye of Newt. Its double sided and I've used both sides on this card. Had to add a little bling as well.

2nd I saw this adorable idea on Laura Pinto-Nguyen's blog and had to try for myself. It's made with an empty spool for ribbon pulled apart and covered. For the cover I used some paper from Heidi Grace Designs that I had gotten last year called Jeepers Creepers. The stuff on the inside is a little Provo Craft, also from last year, called Hallo Palooza, Some Eye of Newt from Moxie, Eat Drink and Be Scary from the Hallowhimsy collection from Imaginisce, also Eeks and Shrieks from Imaginisce, the ribbon was from Hobby Lobby. The project isn't finished and I don't know what I'm going to use for pictures to put in there but I wanted to show everyone what I had been up to this weekend.

Lastly, I took some left over Eat, Drink & Be Scary paper and made this cute little pumpkin. Still am not sold on the "leaves" on the top, might have to alter those a big, or change them completely bit I think a basket full of these by my front door might be something I want to do. I have left over halloween paper from the above project afterall.

Woo Woo Buck-a-roo

So I got the Buckin' Bronc and Wanted stamp sets from Stampin' Up and had to use the Genuine stamp to complete this card. It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but it looks ok. The blue paper is some I had in my scrap box (the store I got it at has been closed for 2 years so you know how long it's been in there), the belt and the patch is the bo-bunny dot paper.

Lots of stuff to show off

First, I have been introduced to Swaps and I'm having a blast! This, although blurry, is my 2nd swap, 4X6 veggies recipe. Not due til mid November and I'm ready to go postal with them this week.

Secondly, I finally have gotten around to scrappin' my pics from when the Women's US Olympic Softball team was in Rapid. A good family friend played on the Rapid City team, #13, Kari Marsico. I used Scenic Route paper in the Liberty collection as well as some scraps to make the softballs. The pocket on the 2nd page will hold the ticket to the game as well as a few newspaper clippings I have that have been sprayed with "Make it Acid Free".

Lastly, here is my first bit of Halloween paper crafting. Frankie here is made with some Bling paper and a few black and white scraps I had laying around. I made his bolts with 2 foam pop dots stuck together and covered with black paper. His nose is also pop doted. I had such a blast making this! I can't wait for Halloween!

Sympathy Card

I made this card for a friend who's husband lots his battle with cancer on Sunday. I used Bo Bunny's dot paper. The thinking of you is cut from George on the Cricut is cut from some scraps I had out of some paper packs and the flower is from a pack from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon was in the $1 section at Target. The brad and the pearls are just from my stash, I couldn't tell ya were I got them.

Inside of card reads: Our loved ones leave behind spaces in the world that can never be filled. But they also leave behind love and light in each of us, sparks of job and hope that live in our hearts and give strength to our souls.

Quick birthday card
