Fussy and Fancy Challenge #31

I had a few computer problems and am just now getting to write in this post. It's Friday! I'm so excited. Isn't it crazy how sometimes the short weeks end up being the longest. Ugh! Oh well, today Fussy & Fancy's new challenge is paper piece or dry emboss. I did both on my card. My cake is paper pieced.
I used an unreleased set called Recycled Birthday from Skipping Stones Designs as well as some paper from Basic Grey that I had in a stack from quite awhile ago.
I embossed the tag and added the senti to it and paper pieced the cake. Looks so good you could just eat it up huh? The inside of the card says: It may taste like cardstock but it's got lots of fiber. I also used the sketch Skipping Stones has this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Love Everything About You

First I wanna say that my bestie had her baby on the 16th. An adorable baby girl, we call her Roo (nickname)

 Isn't she just precious?
But the point of my post is that it's that time again, My Mind's Eye has their monthly challenge posted. I love these sketches because they make me think outside the norm to make a nice layout. Here is this months sketch:
Since I am making Roo's baby album, I thought this was a good sketch to use for the album using some of the great My Mind's Eye paper, Alphabet Soup. Along with the sketch, you had to use the theme: Love Everything About _______________.

I used one of Roo's ultrasound pictures with the title Love Everything About You (cut from the Nifty Fiftys cart) and listed the words on the side that Cami said were bad parts of her pregnancy. I inked these words in Distress Inks.
I added a little button from Pink Paislee's Sweetness line and some fun stones as well as some hard to photograph white glittery tool.

The ABCs of an ABC, SISC47

Welcome to another challenge at Stamp Insanity! This week we have the ABC's of an ABC. Create an ABC (Anything But a Card) that rocks the Asylum! I created a fun post it note holder.
I used paper from 3 Bugs from the April Showers line. Great paper line! My card stock is from Cord'inations (which I sanded). I also used a senti  from the Zeke and Maddie set. Love this set! Added my post it notes inside and wrapped and tied a ribbon around it to hold it together. Added some glittery blinged up flowers and my post it notes were done.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come over to Stamp Insanity to play along!

I ❤ shoes

I got my hands on a not yet released stamp set from Skipping Stones Design. I love it!!! I had to whip something out with it as well as FINALLY break into Cosmo Cricket Delovely paper pack so whala!
Added some Smooch paint to the dots on the shoe and inked the edges with some Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
Made a cute little button with the button punch and threw on some bling and here we are. My pink cardstock is from my scrap bin and I even embossed dots on it like the shoe.

Happy Valentine's Cullen Style

Well here it is one of my least favorite holidays but I got a little creative with creative  with some Cullen love. I made these two cards:
The 1st I used some watercolor paper and sprayed it with Santa Baby Glimmer Mist. I sent it through the printer (after it was dry of course) and did a computer generated senti. I used the heart and the lips from The Our Craft Lounge For-Bitten set. I colored the lips with Smooch paint and inked the edges of everything with some Black Soot Distress Ink. Finished it with some black ribbon.

My next card I used Christmas paper from Echo Park as well as some left overs of the Glimmer Misted paper. Cathy, sweet as she is, found these great Twilight Valentines and picked me up a set. I couldn't help but use Edward. The senti is also from the Our Craft Lounge set. Finished this card off with a bit of the black ribbon also.

Mojo-licious

It's been awhile since I did a Mojo Monday so I thought I'd give this sketch a try this week:
I used paper from Cosmo Cricket's 1934 line. I'm still in love with this line. So classic! I also used stamps from Skipping Stones Design called Always Here.
I colored the butterfly with Distress Inks and a water painter brush. Not sure that I'm a huge fan of this technique yet but I'll keep trying. I added a little bling around the butterfly and called it finished.

Fussy and Fancy, Sweets for my Sweet

TGIF my fellow bloggers! I'm super excited that it's Friday because that means tomorrow I get to work at Altered Art and Scrap Playground! WOOHOO!! But it also means it's challenge day at Fussy and Fancy. The challenge was to use a sweet treat on your project. Here's mine:
I used a little mini candy bar and covered it with paper to make this little robot. My paper was Chery Arte'. It's got a B side, you all know how I love those B sides! The yellow was in my scrap bin. I embossed it with a cute new Sizzix embossing folder. My senti is computer generated and inked in some Distress Ink.

I used the cute little Ava and Deacon images from Bugaboo Stamps and some papers from my scrap bin.
