My journey though paper, glue and lots of bling!

May 14, 2009

And here's the rest of the story...or at least the layouts.

I had a few more layouts to post that I didn't post last night so here we go...

1st up is another NKOTB layout from the Orlando Concert. The paper is Making Memories, the shiny paper is a stack from Walmart and the embelies are JoLee's. The 2nd picture sucks because it doesn't show the paper design. The lettering is Alphalicious. The pictures are of Joey McIntyre who has that Frank Sinatra montra about him.

Next up is a layout that is missing some cricut cuts on the 2nd page. I plan on doing a boarder at the top of the page with the same glasses that are on the 1st page. Maybe some journaling on the glasses. The pics are Cami & I at UNO's in Orlando have some wonderful Margaritas. The paper is by Flair and the cut is designed by me on Cricut Design Studio using Alphalicious, George and Cuttin Up.

FINALLY an update

It's been brought to my attention time and time again that I haven't updated my blog so for all you eagerly awaiting, here are some of my recent creations. Some are missing pictures and some are missing cricut cuts because apparently lately when I go to scrap retrats I like to forget things.

1st is a layout I did for my high school band teacher who is retiring this year. His daughter is putting together a scrapbook for his retirement. Cobbler paper is by Stamping Station and the Marching Band paper is by Reminisce, embellies by JoLee's.

Next up is a layout I put together at retreat awhile ago. It's from our Orlando pictures in front of Ron Jon Surf Shop. Paper is some I picked up at Altered Art & Scrap Playground. I also used some cardstock in my stash. I used Graphically Speaking for he surf board cut and wording.

Next is one of my favorite layouts that I've done in a LONG time. It's a layout of Donnie from my 2nd New Kids concert. Title says "I Fell For The Boy From The City" cut out of Tear Drop and the cityscape cut from Plantin Schoolbook. The paper is from Creative Memories, Make A Wish line. Card stock is from my stash. This would be one of the layouts missing pictures on the 2nd page.
I have a few more layouts but we'll save those for tomorrow so that it looks like I'm doing more updating then I really have to do. :) Thanks for looking!

Graduation Accouncements

I was instructed to create announcements for my brothers college graduation. This was kind of a mad dash attempt since he graduates in 2.5 weeks. I spent 3 hours last night stamping, cutting and gluing and came up with these. It's a trifold card, the "closure" is the school logo. I used versa mark front ink for the diamond pattern. (for some reason when I scanned this, the closure flap didn't lay straight. It is centered so it looks better then the scan).

9 pages X2

Here are a few more layouts I did for the albums for Cami and I from out Denver trip and New Kids concert. I get to do 2 of each of these every time I scrap so we both have an album. When I feel like I don't get much scrappin' done I have to remind myself that instead of having 9 pages done, I have 18!

The 1st layout is of the GPS we had while in Denver. We named her Sally. She kept us laughing because of the little ways she would get us lost. The paper is some map paper from Michael's. The letters are done in Road Signs from Reminisce. I also used some Jolee's stickers for Drivers Ed but pulled pieces off to make them apply here. I also used a cute from Graphically Speaking on the cricut.2nd layout is our pictures from the Molly Brown House Museum. I used paper from SEI, in the Windsor collection, called Sommerset. For the corner flurishes and the title I used Bronze paper from The Paper Company. The corner cuts are from Home Accents and the title is from Opposites Attract. Since no photos were allowed in the museum we had to buy the postcards. These 2 layout still need journaling added to them.
3rd layout was of the Denver Zoo. I used Sugar Tree paper and some animal print paper that I had found while in Denver but I couldn't find a brand on it. The animal print paper was used for the title and for the corners of the pictures on the 2nd and 3rd pages. I also used some flocked 3D embellies from Hobby Lobby.
the 4th layout is my favorite of all. Could be that the pictures say it all. I used Scrap Your Trip's custom paper that looks like red satin, the white was some glittery stuff from Die Cuts With A View. The title is taken form the New Kids song called Grown Man.
Thanks for looking and I apologize for the pictures with the flash glare.

I used just some black and pink cardstock, ribbon and bling from my stash and a cut from Animal Kingdom on Cricut.
The other was for Teriyaki Marinade and I used some paper form my stash, it was from the Far East stack from Die Cuts with a View. I also used some matching cardstock and the gold paper if from a Sizzix stack I had laying around. I also found some dew drops in gold in my stash. The cut if from Home Accents on the Cricut.

Criicut Swaps

These are the current swaps that are getting mailed. The 1st I used patterned paper from Hobby Lobby and some matching card stock cut with the Graphically Speaking cart from Cricut.

This 2nd layout I used white cardstock and some sandy Glimmer Mist which make my paper warp. I also used card stock to cut out all the flowers also from the Graphically Speaking cart from Cricut. I also used a dew drop on the bottom flower. I'm not too impressed with this layout but I struggled with it enough to where I'm just done messing with it, it's going in the mail. I already apologized on the thread for a crappy layout. LOL

First set of NKOTB layouts

As some of you know, I met my bestie, Cami in Denver in November for my 30th birthday and we went to a New Kids on the Block concert. What a better way to celebrate your 30th birthday then reminiscing your 13th? Here are 2 finished layouts and the 1st page to a 3rd layout. I'm making 2 identical scrapooks so Cami has the goods too. Most of the paper used was a paper pack I got from Hobby Lobby that was on clearance and the shimmer stuff is a paper pack from Wal-Mart. The 1st layout I used a sketch from the following blog: LINK

More swaps

This time I have a cookie swap and a healthy eating swap. I bought this cute margarita paper a few years ago and never had anything to use it on so I used my margarita chicken recipe and whala! I used stickles and pop dots on it too. The purple paper is some of the Bling paper as well. I love how this turned out.

Next is the cookie swap. The paper is some of the Mickey's kitchen and the little chef had is Mrs. Grossman stickers on pop dots. I also love how this one turned out. These are probably 2 of my favorite swap cards thus far.

We got to meet him and get our picture taken with him so what a better way to preserve those memories then to scrap it! Everything I used can from paper packs from with Walmart or Hobby Lobby! The cuts for the words are Opposites Attract and the Parental Advisory and Bulls Eye are from Indie Art. Thanks for looking!

Randomness thrown into one entry

First is a thank you card I made (and as I'm looking, the yellow thank you strip isn't straight!). I used alcohol inks on the flower to get the right color to match the paper.

This is actually a thank you card I made for a lady that hosted a cooking class for my church group on crepes. So yummy and I thought the theme fit well.

Lastly, another card for one of my addictions (swaps). This is for a crockpot swap that I am hosting. You can't really see but the word delicious is glimmer misted and there are little pearls for the dots on the eyes. I got to use the new graphically speaking cart for my cricut.
