Fangs or Fur?

Because my obsession has been with Edward, I thought it was time to give Jacob a little love as well. This is a bookmark card, the bookmark is perforated for the recipient to remove and use. I found this paper at Hobby Lobby and thought it was perfect! The stamps are from the set I got at barnes & noble. They have gotten lots of use. The stamp on the inside of the card that says Imprinted is from my new set fro Artful Inkables called Fictionally Inspired. Love them!

(Not sure why this came out an odd shade of brown, it's the same as what's above.)

I've been bitten.....and I like it!

I have always been one of those people who doesn't do things because everyone else is doing it. Because of this I didn't get on the Twilight craze when everyone else did. I watched the 1st movie, thought it was a little corny and swore I would never read the books. Thanks to a few girlfriends persuasion, I envoked an a whirlwind journey with Bella and Edward and have falled head over heals in love with the Twilight Saga! "Forget the prince on the white horse, give me a vampire in a Volvo!"

The following are my Twilight inspired cards.

This image is from The Greeting Farm and is called Edward. I used some distress inks on the edges of Edward and the patterned paper with the sponging technique. Also used stickles on Edward to make him sparkle because we all know, Real Men Sparkle! Embelished with a Prima and a little bling. I pulled the paper from my scrap box so I'm not sure where that came from but I know it was graduation paper that I got at Altered Art in 2008.

The next card is made from my newest stamp set purchased at Barns & Noble. Again, no clue on the paper, distress inks on the edges of Edward. Bling and Ribbon from Michael's. The Apple was cut from Doodlecharms and the paper is Bo-Bunny's dot paper.

Coffee and a book (mark)

Here is the cute little bookmark card I made for a swap. I used the coffee stamp set from Skipping Stones Designs. I used the versa mark frost for the cups and the saying on the bazzill cardstock in artesian blue and the book mark itself is from the Bo-Bunny dot collection. I colored the poor little coffee lady with watercolor pencils and used some diamond stickles on her robe. Added a little prima in the corner with some bling and there ya have it. The book mark is held to the card with magnets.

Precious Little Prayers

I made this card for my friends daughter who has Leukemia. I thought the digi stamp looked a lot like her. She's such a fighter!

On the card the digi stamp is from Mo's digital pencil. The paper is some pink glittered paper called Princess Pixie Dust from the Princess Disney collection by EK Success. The card base is Bazzill Bling's Pink Cadillac. Had to put a little bling on the card as well. The digi stamp is colored with watercolor pencils.

A Sweet Thanks

I used the new donuts set from Skipping Stones Designs for this card. I used some brown sprinkle looking paper from my scrap stash, colored with water color pencils and stickled the sprinkles on the donut. The ribbon is from the $1.00 bins at Target and the blue paper is bazzill cardstock artesian pool color.

This is Halloween

Well Halloween is my FAVORITE time of year, hands down! I joined, or rather was roped into a halloween card swap by my bestie who was the host. Here is my submission:

Stamped image is from MTF stamps, the paper I got at Altered Art but forgot the name or who it's by, the cree goo is the Martha punch with green glitter paper from Walmart (don't ever buy this, it doesn't stick to things well) some purple ribbon from my stash and the flowers were also purchased from Altered Art a long time ago. My images were colored with watercolor pencils and then stickled with regular and distressed stickles. I even roughed up the edges with a nail file.

Someone is getting married!

And big shocker it's not me! A friend of mine got engaged this week and I thought I would make her a cute little congrats card. I used an image from MTF stamps (I think it's called Spa Day) and added a little bling to look like an engagement ring. Everything I used was again from my stash so no clue where it came from.

Cards, cards and more cards

This weekend was the annual Rushmore Retreat put on by the ladies at Scrappin' Ladies outta Pierre. I got a lot accomplished but it never seams like I got enough accomplished. I got 5 layouts and 3 cards complete. I'll post the layouts later but here are the cards.

1. Margarita card made with some paper I found on clearance who knows how long ago, I bought like 8 sheets for some crazy reason. I used a stamp set from Made by Me/Skipping Stones Designs which I love (I think you can also buy these at Altered Art). I used some Glossy Accents on the glass and some stickles for the margarita salt. I used some green Bo-Bunny dot paper. On the inside I used a little bling as well.

2. I combined the new coffee set from Made by Me/Skipping Stone Designs with the drinks set on this card. I used some maroon dot paper I purchased at Altered Art and some versa mark ink for the drink rings. I also glossy accented my glass. It's very simple but I love how it turned out. The inside of the card says "Like a fine wine we get better with age...or rather, we feel better about our age with lots of wine! Cheers!"

3. I also made the card using the new coffee stamp set from Made by Me/Skipping Stone Designs. The paper is Flair Designs with some card stock in brown and white. I used watercolor pencils to color, added a little glossy accents so the coffee looked wet.
4. Last but not least, I made this card using some of Bo-bunny's red dot paper and the new stamp set called Party Girl from MTF stamps. I stickled her outfit and glossy accented her martini glass. The flower is by Prima and the red "ribbon" is Stampin' Up.

Thanks for lookin!

3D stars

I found a tutorial on how to make 3D stars so I thought I would give it a shot on a birthday card for a friend of mine. I love how it turned out! The only paper that I know on this card is the blue and white polka dots, it's from Close To My Heart. I think the bandanna paper was some stuff I had gotten at hobby lobby a long time ago. Again, scraps on this card as well. I used a snap from Making Memories and some leather I had in my stash for the hangy parts. I inked everything as well.

Sweet Birthday

My Aunt's birthday was coming up so I pulled this card to use. I made this at a class that was held at Altered Art so I don't know what the papers were. The stamps are by MadeByMe and can be found on e-bay. I used some glossy accents on the icing of the roll.

Thank you card

I saw something similar to this on SCS and liked it so here's what I came up with. There is 1 matching colored bling on each tree. The plate is from Memory Makers that I had in my stash and have never used.

My Favorite Things Stamps

I hosted an image swap and this image is one I got back. I love it and fits well with the sentiment I had from the same company. I sent this to one of my amazing friends Christy to just say HI. I've been doing all my cards with scraps so I don't know where the paper is from but the red is glittery and so is the blue brad.

Knockin' Boots

This is one of my most favorite cards in a long time. I used stamps by My Favorite Things, the paper was by Flair and the little rope thing I had left over from a western themed album I did about a year and a half ago. I also used water color pencils and experimented for the 1st time with a distresser. That made me a little nervous. I was afraid I was going to rip the paper or something but I like how it turned out.
