Knockin' Boots

This is one of my most favorite cards in a long time. I used stamps by My Favorite Things, the paper was by Flair and the little rope thing I had left over from a western themed album I did about a year and a half ago. I also used water color pencils and experimented for the 1st time with a distresser. That made me a little nervous. I was afraid I was going to rip the paper or something but I like how it turned out.

It's almost Rally time

I have a friend coming up to the Rally this year so to get him pumped up even more, I made him this card. The image is a Diamond Stamp digital image and all paper is the Harley Davidson paper. A little black ribbon from my stash and some cool button things from the Hobby Lobby in Denver. I used stickles on the bike and the ladies scarf and some crystal effects on the guys goggles and the ladies glasses. Thanks for looking! I used the MFT sentiment on the inside that says ""My other ride is a pole".

Fried Ice Cream made with Cereal

I also took a spot in a cereal swap. The recipe had to be made with some kind of cereal:
I used some green cardstock, and some patterned paper from Hobby Lobby again. The pink flower ribbon was found in the dollar section at Michael's in Florida. I used some color staples to attach the ribbon.

Pizza Swap

I signed up for 2 spots in a pizza swap. Here are my submissions:

#1 Black Bean Nacho Pizza:
I used some patterned paper from Target that I got years ago and then I found this embossed pink card stock in my stash of "when did I buy this" paper. Added a little prima and some bling.

#2 Italian Stallion Pizza:
I used all card stock on this one. I got the cut file from someone on the Cricut site (I don't remember who). I added the recipe on a transparency and added snaps to hold it on.

Ice Cream Birthday card

One of my scrappin' friends is having a birthday so this is the card I made her. You can't really tell but the cherry is Crystal Effects and there is white glitter in the ice cream crescent. I cut this with Design Studio using the Doodlecharms cartridge. I love how it turned out and as always, it's so much better in person then on the scan.

I became a cricut card fairy

After seeing the great things this group has done, especially with Josh's little girl, I decided I needed to join. Essentially what you do is sign up, you receive "Missions" every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These missions tell you who has requested cards and what the reason along with the address to send them to. As a fairy you create the cards and send them to the person. It's just kind of a reminder that there are still selfless people out there in this big ol' world. I got my 1st 3 missions yesterday, 2 thinking of you cards and a sympathy. I created 2 of the 3 last night. (To read more or become a fairy click here)

The 1st card I found HERE and thought it was pretty cool. I had to give it a whirl. It's made from an envelope. I used the new Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper pack. Also used some bling and some Prima's on the outside. On the inside was just a stamped "Just saying Hi" image.

The sympathy card I made was from scraps. The paper is Bo Bunny's Splendor line. I used a prima and a few leaf cuts from the cricut (Home Accents cart) a little bling and whala! The sentiment is computer generated.

Choco-holics swap cards

I realized that these were due in 2 weeks and AGGGG, I hadn't started them, nor did I have any ideas! I needed to do 13 of each of them so I thought I better get going. Here's what I came up with, simple and sweet.

I just used a paper pack from my stash (the cover was missing so I don't know who it's by), Stickel's and Prima's some ribbon from my stash and some paper clips. I'm trying to use things from my scrap stash and my paper packs. It seams those things never get used so that's my goal is to use those more or STOP buying/saving them!

Wedding gift

I have been doing recipe swaps for the last year in preparation for my cousins wedding gift. I made a recipe box and filled it with 4X6 recipe cards. The paper is by Flair, ribbon was on sale at Hobby Lobby, and it was Deco Art's Dazzling Metallic paint in Rich Espresso. I also found the box at Hobby Lobby.

Front: (The O is her new last name initial)

Another Saggy Lady card

My aunt isn't feel well so to bring a smile to her face, I made her a saggy lady. I used some band-aid paper from my scrap box and some red cardstock also from my scrap box. The cupcake is from Me & My Big Ideas, of course I used stickles to make her sparkle. The sentiment on the inside is a stamp from Michael's and it reads "Maybe a cupcake will help?" I thought it all fit well. Thanks for looking.

I love my saggy lady stamps!

My friend in Florida asked if I would make her a birthday card for her mom with my saggy ladies. I never pass up an opportunity to use my saggy ladies! I used a template found here for the card. My saggy ladies are from Ibreakforstamps. I used just some blue cardstock and some green paper from my scrap stash. I got the paper at Altered Art and Playground last summer but don't remember the line. I stickeled the little lady and colored with colored pencils. I added a little flower at the top too that I also got at Altered Art awhile back. I don't keep packages so again, no clue who it's by. Sorry!

Finally back in crafting mode

I think I had hit a creative brick wall there for awhile cuz I just wasn't doing any scrapping at all. Couldn't even get the excitement to do a project. But I think I'm slowly getting back into it. Here are a few swaps I have just finished that need to be mailed.

1st is the dessert for my Italian swap, it's for Peach Gelato. I used some paper from some paper packs from Hobby Lobby and a Prima from Bucket of Blooms, a faux eyelet from Joann's and a little baby pearl. I also stamped a diamond background in Versa Mark Champagine on the solid paper but it's really hard to see.

2nd is my main dish for the italian swap. I just used cardstock and some bling. very simple. I also stamped some paint splashs in the background in Vera Mark champaigne as well.

3rd is one of the spots in a drink swap. This is for Summer Fruit Punch. The paper is cartstock and a pack of summer drink paper in Target's $1.00 section. The ribbon is also from Targets $1.00 bin. I stamed the Too Cool and added stickles to the limes.

Last is a Salty Chihuahua drink. I stamped all the paws on the cardstock and cut the little dog from Animal Kingdom. I added some glitter to his head and back to look like salt.
