6 days until Eclipse

Oh the time is getting closer and closer. You have no idea how excited I am to be going out of town, visiting my Bestie and watching Eclipse together! Yea...6 more days! Here it today's Team Edward card:

I used some Core'dinations cardstock from Jenny Bowlin. It's black with a red core so I embossed it with the Damask embossing folder and sanded the heck out of it so the red poked through. My image is the cute My Sparkle Edward from Pixie Dust Studios.

I colored Edward with water color pencils and added my diamond Stickles to make him sparkle. I love this effect! My tag is cut on the cricut and stamped with Team Edward from Artful Inkables Fictionally Inspired set. I think inked the edges with black soot Disress Ink.

For my bow I simply folded some ribbon over each other and stuck the cool brad in the center. The brad is from the Lush line from My Mind's Eye. Cool line!

7 days until Eclipse and SSD sketch Tuesday (SSD030)

Well hello and Happy Tuesday to all my blogging buddies. Today is sketch Tuesday at Skipping Stones Design. Terri had another challenging sketch for us today:

Your going to look at my card and say "What The? That doesn't look anything like the sketch!" And your absolutely right. Terri has absolutely made me struggle with the sketches she's provided this month. My brain has been on shut off mode too with summer here BUT...I kinda flipped the sketch, illuminated the circles for rectangles and pretty much stayed so far from the sketch it's crazy. Without further adieu, my card:

I absolutely love this Fangs or Fur set from Skipping Stones Design. It releases next Tuesday, June 29th, just in time for the release of the movie Eclipse.

Just look at those abs on Jacob! I blush just checkin' out the stamped image LOL.  My paper is some paw print paper from Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. I saw it and knew it would be perfect for Jacob. The ribbon even matches it.

I matted the image in some red Core'dinations paper and some shimmer brown from Cuttlebug. I inked the edges with Distress Ink as well.

8 days until Eclipse

OMG...really? Only 8 days?! Eeek (**screams like a teenager**). I apologize for not having cards this weekend. I was house sitting without scrap supplies or access to a computer so I was really feeling the loss of civilization. Here is my card for today though, based a lot of the cover of the Eclipse book.

My card:

I used the Fictionally Inspired set of stamps from Artful Inkables as well as some red ribbon I had on hand.

My paper was all scraps and I stamped in white ink (which kind of smudged).

11 days until Eclipse

Well there's only 11 days & I'll be basking in all the Cullen and Black goodness that is Eclipse. Here is todays card:

You'll have to forgive the bluryness, I'm looking into getting a new camera. I used all paper from my scrap bin for this card. The patterned paper I inked with a baby wipe in tea dye Distress Ink and spritzed with sandy beach and silver Glimmer Mist and smeared it around with the same baby wipe. I stamped my image from Skipping Stones Design's Fangs or Fur set (releasing soon), colored it with some watercolor pencils and then did a stained glass effect on it using left over rubber pieces and clear embossing powder.

I then inked over all of the embossed areas with the tea dye Distress Ink. I love the look it gives.
I also stamped the sentiment and embossed in Gold. Unfortunately it made the sentiment a little hard to read.

12 days until Eclipse

OMGosh! I can't believe there is only 12 days left until Eclipse. You have no idea how excited I am! I'll have to share all the cute little goodies bags I made for my movie going buddies but not today...today is my Team Alice card:

Awww, isn't Alice just cute?! She's a digi from Pixie Dust Studio. I colored her with water color pencils and added some moonlight Smooch paint to her shimmery skin.

I also used a drop of gold Smooch paint on her necklace. My pink paper is from We R Memory Keepers from the Teen Angst line and the dice is from Paper Studio. The ribbon I had in my stash but I think it came from the $1 bin at Target.

My sentiment is computer generated.

13 days until Eclipse

Woo hoo! we're down to 2 weeks left until Eclipse comes out! You have no idea how excited I am! Ok, 40 days worth of Twilight inspired cards, maybe you do know how excited I am. Here's today's card.

I used paper from my brothers graduation card that I bought extra of and have been hording and finally decided to use. It's from 2008, and I think it's by TPC Studio. I also got this killer rose ribbon this last weekend from Altered Art. It's by Websters Pages called Berry Bloomers. LOVE IT!

I used the stamp from Epic Tales by Artful Inkables for this card. I used my Nesties to cut the sentiment and matting which is Bazzill Bling card stock. Here's a close up of the ribbon. Isn't it rockin' and totally Twilight?

Skipping Stones Design 029 and 14 days until Eclipse

It's sketch Tuesday at Skipping Stones again! Check out this groovy sketch! How fun is this?

My card which I very loosely based on the sketch. You can see the sketch right? Please say yes!

 I used some paper from Iron Orchid Designs that I picked up who knows where! I used the Home Decor Cricut cart for my crown and added some bling to it.

I had the gold paper in my scraps and the teal is shimmer paper from DCWV.

The ribbon started out as white but I dyed it with some vintage pink Glimmer Mist. It turned out the perfect shade.

The best part of the card is the sentiment which is from the Fangs or Fur set to be releasing soon from Skipping Stones Design. Keep checking out the store for the release!

15 days until Eclipse

Yea, just over 2 weeks. I went to the movies with a friend last Saturday night and saw a trailer for Eclipse and I got so excited!!! Here's my card for today:

The challenge at Pixie Dust Studios is to make a card telling what Twilight means for you. My card explains what it is for me, the continual back and forth on who I think Bella should pick. There are times I love the idea of her being with Jacob and others I want her to be with Edward.

I used a new image from Pixie Dust Studios called Fire and Ice. Colored the guys with watercolor pencils, added some Icicle Stickles to Edward (I like Diamond Stickles better for him though). I added the Fangs or Fur stamp from the Fictionally Inspired set from Artful Inkables to this as well.

I used paper from the Family Matters line by Teresa Collins and some black and grey card stock from my scrap bin. I used some ribbon that I found in the $1 section at Micheal's awhile back that I thought would make perfect Twi-cards. Added some black and red bling to the corners and pop dotted the cuties.

Sweeny Todd

Well for those of you who saw this post yesterday all wonky, now you all know how I start my posts. Just a bunch of jibberish with a picture or two to be finished later usually. However, this one posted and I hadn't gotten back to it. WHOOPS! But now, onto the REAL posting. This is for the challenge over at the Burtonesque Dolls blog. The challenge is to base it on the movie Sweeny Todd. When I saw the Bathing Beauty digi at Tiddly Inks last week, before this challenge even posted, I instantly thought of this scene from Sweeny Todd so I knew I had to go buy her when this challenge posted.

I think I'm due for a new camera, photos are taking blurry so please excuse the blurryness on this card but here's my take on the challenge.

I even colored Bathing Beauties hair like Johnny Depps in this movie. My paper is some skulls I got at Hobby Lobby awhile ago and some black and red card stock scraps. I colored my little goth girl with colored pencils and moonlight Smooch paint.

You can kind of see the shimmer of the Smooch in the above picture.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the boarders and a stamp from My Favorite Things Twisted Sentiments set. I inked the edges with some black soot Distress Ink as well.

16 days until Eclipse

I've been meaning to try one of the sketch challenges over at Club Anya and Friends and what a better time then now?

I used the limited edition Twilight digi stamps from The Greeting Farm for my card.

I used some Bo-Bunny dot paper as well as some brown card stock and some paw paper from Hobby Lobby. I colored Little Jacob with water color pencils and added a paw stamp from the Fictionally Inspired stamp set from Artful Inkables.

My sentiment is also from the Fictionally Inspired set. I used some pop dots to raise Jacob up off the paper a bit. Used some brown ribbon to connect the 2 different papers and Whala....Team Jacob baby!

17 more days until Eclipse (CVSC 11)

 I used the sketch from Creative Clear Stamps for todays card. This was a fab sketch, I'll totally use it again!

My card uses paper by Jenni Bowlin and some more of that red Core'dinations card stock. I've also used some Bo-Bunny dot paper.

My stamp is from Artful Inkables Into the Moonlight set.

I inked the edges of the stamped image with Tea Dye Distress Ink and added some gold bling and gold Smooch paint to the wolfs eyes.

18 days to go until Eclipse

Yea....18 days...18 days! Today my card is made using the sketch from CPS and you know that I had to flip the sketch a bit. My card also qualifys for this weeks Artful Inkables challenge to use their stamps and make a card using Twilight colors.

I used stamps from Artful Inkables from the Epic Tales set. I absolutely LOVE these eyes.

My paper is by Queen Co. called Magic Damask and some red Core'dinations paper.

Colored the eyes with a red Bic marker and inked the edges of everything with Black Soot Distress Ink.
I used the Damask embossing folder for part of the red core'dinations on the left side. Also added some red pearls to finish it off.

19 days until Eclipse

Just a little under 3 weeks until we get to bask in all of Jacob and Edwards glory but until then, I've got another card. I used the sketch from Fussy and Fancy.

I used the Twilight set of stamps from Barns and Noble for my card:

I used paper from Theresa Collins from her Family Matters line and some white cardstock that I inked a bit with Black Soot Destress Ink. I used my Nesties to cut the 3 of them out and used a Martha Steward boarder punch on the white cardstock.

I also inked Edward and Jacob with a bit of the Black Soot and Bella got some Barn Door topped with Black Soot.

I added some black ribbon with a cheater bow and popped Bella up with some pop dots. The bling finishes the card off.
