Artful Inkables Twilight Blog Hop And Eclipse Opening!

Welcome to our Customer and Design Team Twilight Artful INKables blog hop! What an honor it is for me to be playing along with these wonderful and talented women! Make sure you start at the Artful INKables Blog, so you don't miss a single thing!

To celebrate the release of ECLIPSE today (WOO HOO how excited are we?!), we're highlighting the Artful INKables Twilight inspired sets: Into the Moonlight, Fictionally Inspired and Epic Tales. Artful INKables also has a set of Vampire Romance Themed Charms available!

For my card I used the wonderful Epic Tales set. When I saw those eyes, I knew I had to have this set! I stamped the eyes all over some kraft paper and colored them red (Bic marker) and gold (Smooch paint). I had this cool DCWV metallic paper in red and gold as well so I used that for my matting and my boarder across the middle (which I punched with a Martha Stewart punch).
I stamped my sentiment, which is also from the Epic Tales set, on a cut from the Home Accents cartridge. I inked up the edges in a little black soot Distress Ink and added some bling.
I popped the sentiment up on some pop dots and was ready to rock and roll!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and I hope that you've had a great time on the hop so far. The next stop on the hop is the oh so talented Tanya. make sure you leave a little comment love on everyone's blog.

In case you get lost along the way, here’s the order of the hop:

Skippings Stones Design Blog Hop

Welcome to Skipping Stones Design’s Blog DT Blog Hop to celebrate the release of two new stamp sets, "Fangs or Fur" (my favorite!) and Chocolate Vol. 2.  This is our "sweetest" release yet, whether you're a Twilight fan or a chocolate lover, we have something for you!!   If you just happened upon my blog today, you’ll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived from Amanda's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is showcasing another great creation from Teri Anderson. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch. Just remember to use the keywords SSD031 if you are uploading to any online galleries or link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. We'll be looking soon for Guest Designers so you never know....
Here is this weeks sketch from Teri:
And my take on this sketch:
I used the Chocolate Volume 2 set from Skipping Stones. My paper is from October Afternoon's Go Fly A Kite line. I've drooled over this online for awhile now and our LSS finally got it on and I was in heaven. I embossed the diamond-y paper with some large circles and inked over them in tea dye Distress Ink.

I stamped my sentiment and my strawberry in vintage photo Distress Ink and colored the strawberry with water color pencils and added a but of Glossy Accents on the dark chocolate drizzles.
Now on to your next stop, Angela!

1 day until Eclipse

Today I have no card to show you but I thought I'd give you a peek at the goodie bags all my movie going buddies are getting the night of the show. The bag and it's contents are in the below picture. I found the stickers at our local party store for the front of the bags. I just used black gift bags. I also found Eclipse tattoos and magnets that I put in each bag too.
I found all my signage online through Tara's Twilight Party. She's got some new ones posted as well. The 1st snack bag I have Hot Tamales and dark chocolate M&M's (which are all shades of red) mixed together and the Blood Type Vegetarian topper signed by Dr. Carlisle himself.
Next I used red Twizzlers and covered it with a Type B (or A and O) label.
Rosalie's Werewolf Kibble (100% Fido Approved) I used a variation of Milk Duds, Whoppers, peanut butter Whoppers and Reese's Pieces.
The nugget stickers I found on e-bay but of course can't find them again to post a link and the candy bars I found at Walgreens. They had either Jacob, Bella or the ever so hunky Edward. I also found Fire and Ice Sweethearts at Walgreens for Jacob and Edward that I mixed together and put in a bag as well.
I hope all my movie goers will enjoy these. I also found at the local party store 3D cups that I picked up as well. They are very cool! They can also be found online HERE.

2 days until Eclipse

Well, it's 2 days til the opening night of the movie...you'll only have 1 more Twi-card from me for the time being. :( Makes me sad but it's been a great time sharing with you all and reading all your fantastic comments. So on to today's card:
I used another one of these super cute images from Pixie Dust Studio, colored it up with water color pencils and cut it out. I put it on some My Minds Eye paper, the B side was the clouds. Thought it kinda made it look like the meadow.
I added some mini prima's to anyplace there was a flower and centered some bling on the flowers. I also added some diamond Stickles to Edward. My sentiment was computer generated.

3 days until Eclipse

YES, you read that right...only 3 day...hopefully they go fast!! Today my Twi-card is being entered in the challenge over at Pixie Dust Studios, the requirement is to use 2 images on the card. I thought this sentiment from Skipping Stones Design's Fangs or Fur set went well with 2 images.
I used Edward and Jacob images from Pixie Dust Studios. They are so cute! My paper is from the new Breathless line from Creative Imaginations.
I inked the sentiment with tea dye Distress Ink and stamped the sentiment in vintage photo Distress Ink and I added a little brown bling. My images are colored with watercolor pencils.
For Edward I added some gold Smooch pain to his eyes and although you can't really see it, his coat is covered in gray flocking by Martha Stewart. How fun!!

How super exciting is this?!

So the other day Ellen posted a comment on one of my Twi-cards about using the card on the Core'dinations blog. YEA! Like that was a no brainer for me, I totally said yes! This morning Cathy at Altered Art calls me and tell me to check out the Core'dinations blog. So I did and squealing with glee...there's my card. Make sure you stop by the Core'dinations blog and check it out!

4 days until Eclipse

I'm totally diggin' today's card. I had a thought like this in the back of my mind but couldn't think of how to make it work. In yesterday's mail I got my new Wall Decor cartridge. While I was looking through the book I saw the tickets and knew exactly how to make this card come to life.
I used some Bazzill red dotted cardstock for the matting and my tickets. The paper is some SUPER old Karen Foster Designs called Film Reel.
I used the clap board stamp by Bo-Bunny's Mamarazzi line and wrote in the info on the board.

When I had the card "finished" I thought it needed something. What goes perfect with a movie? POPCORN! So I cut some ice cream tops from the doodlecharms cartridge, inked the edges in yellow and turned them upside down and voila', you have popcorn. I pop doted it to make it "pop" off the card. Wow...bad pun huh?
I wish I had some of Tim Holtz film ribbon to add to this but I'm diggin' the look even without the film ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by!

Burtonesque Challenge

The challenge #8 this week over at the Burtonesque Dolls blog was to make a toe tag with Beetle Juice the movie as inspiration. I took this to the literal sense using the picture below of Lyida as my inspiration.
I had just gotten my fun Simply Betty stamps in the mail and of course wanted to use them. So I stamped Rio out and colored her up.
I added a little bit of diamond Stickles to the skulls on her headband and choker necklace. I also added some silver Smooch paint to the edges of her dress.
I used so gray Core'dination card stock which I crumpled and sanded and then ran through the cuttlebug with the script folder and sanded some more. I tried to give this a headstone feel but I don't really like the look of the Black Epoxy words that say Beetle Juice.
I added some red and black ribbon to the top of the headstone and I have my toe tag.

5 days until Eclipse

I'm still squealing like a teenager at the fact that in 5 days I'll be chillin' in an air conditioned theater, eating some popcorn and drooling, I mean, watching Edward and Jacob on the big screen. WOOOOOO!!
Today's card is Bella from Pixie Dust Studios, I love these images!
I colored her in water color pencils and inked the outside of the top note with bundled sage Distress Ink. My paper is left overs from a Team Jacob card earlier, it's from Hobby Lobby.
I also used the square top note inked with bundled sage and the sentiment from Fangs or Fur from Skipping Stones Design.
I also added some brown crinkle ribbon and a button.

6 days until Eclipse

Oh the time is getting closer and closer. You have no idea how excited I am to be going out of town, visiting my Bestie and watching Eclipse together! Yea...6 more days! Here it today's Team Edward card:
I used some Core'dinations cardstock from Jenny Bowlin. It's black with a red core so I embossed it with the Damask embossing folder and sanded the heck out of it so the red poked through. My image is the cute My Sparkle Edward from Pixie Dust Studios.
I colored Edward with water color pencils and added my diamond Stickles to make him sparkle. I love this effect! My tag is cut on the cricut and stamped with Team Edward from Artful Inkables Fictionally Inspired set. I think inked the edges with black soot Disress Ink.
For my bow I simply folded some ribbon over each other and stuck the cool brad in the center. The brad is from the Lush line from My Mind's Eye. Cool line!

7 days until Eclipse and SSD sketch Tuesday (SSD030)

Well hello and Happy Tuesday to all my blogging buddies. Today is sketch Tuesday at Skipping Stones Design. Terri had another challenging sketch for us today:
Your going to look at my card and say "What The? That doesn't look anything like the sketch!" And your absolutely right. Terri has absolutely made me struggle with the sketches she's provided this month. My brain has been on shut off mode too with summer here BUT...I kinda flipped the sketch, illuminated the circles for rectangles and pretty much stayed so far from the sketch it's crazy. Without further adieu, my card:
I absolutely love this Fangs or Fur set from Skipping Stones Design. It releases next Tuesday, June 29th, just in time for the release of the movie Eclipse.
Just look at those abs on Jacob! I blush just checkin' out the stamped image LOL.  My paper is some paw print paper from Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby. I saw it and knew it would be perfect for Jacob. The ribbon even matches it.
I matted the image in some red Core'dinations paper and some shimmer brown from Cuttlebug. I inked the edges with Distress Ink as well.

Head over to Skipping Stones Design to see what kind of Pre-sale Heather has in store for you and play along with the sketch challenge for the opportunity to win.

8 days until Eclipse

OMG...really? Only 8 days?! Eeek (**screams like a teenager**). I apologize for not having cards this weekend. I was house sitting without scrap supplies or access to a computer so I was really feeling the loss of civilization. Here is my card for today though, based a lot of the cover of the Eclipse book.

My card:
I used the Fictionally Inspired set of stamps from Artful Inkables as well as some red ribbon I had on hand.
My paper was all scraps and I stamped in white ink (which kind of smudged).

11 days until Eclipse

Well there's only 11 days & I'll be basking in all the Cullen and Black goodness that is Eclipse. Here is todays card:
You'll have to forgive the bluryness, I'm looking into getting a new camera. I used all paper from my scrap bin for this card. The patterned paper I inked with a baby wipe in tea dye Distress Ink and spritzed with sandy beach and silver Glimmer Mist and smeared it around with the same baby wipe. I stamped my image from Skipping Stones Design's Fangs or Fur set (releasing soon), colored it with some watercolor pencils and then did a stained glass effect on it using left over rubber pieces and clear embossing powder.
I then inked over all of the embossed areas with the tea dye Distress Ink. I love the look it gives.
I also stamped the sentiment and embossed in Gold. Unfortunately it made the sentiment a little hard to read.

OMGosh! I can't believe there is only 12 days left until Eclipse. You have no idea how excited I am! I'll have to share all the cute little goodies bags I made for my movie going buddies but not today...today is my Team Alice card:
Awww, isn't Alice just cute?! She's a digi from Pixie Dust Studio. I colored her with water color pencils and added some moonlight Smooch paint to her shimmery skin.
I also used a drop of gold Smooch paint on her necklace. My pink paper is from We R Memory Keepers from the Teen Angst line and the dice is from Paper Studio. The ribbon I had in my stash but I think it came from the $1 bin at Target.
My sentiment is computer generated.

13 days until Eclipse

Woo hoo! we're down to 2 weeks left until Eclipse comes out! You have no idea how excited I am! Ok, 40 days worth of Twilight inspired cards, maybe you do know how excited I am. Here's today's card.
I used paper from my brothers graduation card that I bought extra of and have been hording and finally decided to use. It's from 2008, and I think it's by TPC Studio. I also got this killer rose ribbon this last weekend from Altered Art. It's by Websters Pages called Berry Bloomers. LOVE IT!
I used the stamp from Epic Tales by Artful Inkables for this card. I used my Nesties to cut the sentiment and matting which is Bazzill Bling card stock. Here's a close up of the ribbon. Isn't it rockin' and totally Twilight?
